How to receive Facebook notifications through Google Chrome

We are forever hooked onto Facebook. Be it our mobile phones, tablets, laptops, Facebook is active somewhere in the background. But every now and then we tend to miss out on the Facebook notifications. Though Facebook provides notifications on mobile phones through its application, most people don't have any idea about Chrome notifications.




So let's take a look at how you can activate Facebook notifications on Google Chrome.

1) Open Facebook.com on your Chrome browser and click on the downward pointing arrow at the top right corner -> Select 'Settings'.


2) In the Settings menu, select 'Notifications.

3) Once you enter the Notifications menu, click on the 'Edit' button for 'Desktop and Mobile'.


4) Once through, click on the 'Turn On' button under desktop for 'Chrome'.


And voila! Now you'll be able to see Facebook notifications on your Chrome browser even when Facebook is not open on any of the tabs.
