Speculations surrounding the release of Nokia's first Android smartphone don't seem to be dying down.
If rumours are to be believed, Nokia is planning to launch 2 Android smartphones in Q3 and Q4 of 2016. This could bring about a change in fortunes for the company, that was once at the pinnacle of the mobile industry.

Leaked images and previews indicate the release of two phones, Nokia C1 and Nokia E1, in the low budget and mid range categories respectively.

Nokia C1

The Nokia C1 is expected to release in September 2016, and will be priced between Rs. 12,000 and Rs. 15,000. The phone is expected to run the latest version of Android, with 2GB RAM, 13 MP primary camera, a massive 3000 mAh battery, and 32 GB of internal storage.

It will come with a 5.5" display, and will run on the standard Snapdragon processor. Considering the price range, the phone seems to have decent specifications and could be a hit.

Nokia E1

Nokia E1

The Nokia E1, expected to launch in August 2016, will sport a 5.5" inch full HD screen. With a 20 MP primary camera, storage expandable upto 128 GB, a 3000 mAh battery and dual sim slots, this phone surely hits the mark. It might be priced anywhere around Rs. 25,000 and will be available in a variety of colors.

What remains to be seen is if Nokia can really redeem itself with these smartphones, or if this spells the end for the once leading company.
